The Art of Home Cooking

Restaurant and brasserie in Spa

Seasonal cuisine, slow-cooked here, every day.

A word from the founders

We took over this legendary place with a simple idea:

put taste back at the heart of everything.

No frills, just the essentials: quality produce, generous homemade cooking, and a sincere welcome.

Steven & Ryan Lemaire

Founding brothers

In the former officers’ mess, an iconic place steeped in history.

Our commitment

For a great meal in Spa, every day.

Here, our cooking is made on site. The sauces, the fries, the desserts, the slow-cooked dishes: every preparation comes out of our kitchen, every day. It is a value we hold without compromise: we want every guest who walks through the door of our restaurant to leave with the simple feeling of having truly eaten well.

The chef in the kitchen

Present at every service, accountable for every plate.

Homemade cooking

Sauces, fries, desserts, daily dishes: all prepared here, no frozen shortcut, no compromise.

Carefully chosen produce

Sourced from our producers, as close to the season as possible.

Attention to every table

Every guest matters, from the first service to the last.

The little extras

More than a restaurant, a home.

What makes a visit at our place a bit different. Honest cooking, a welcoming space for the whole family, and everything you need to linger a little longer.

Restaurant homemade cooking

Generous classics, homemade each day with carefully sourced produce.

Our spaces

Dining room, terrace, and bar

The former officers’ mess of Spa left us fine rooms: a dining room, a terrace for fine days, and a bar.

The dining room

A warm dining room in the former officers’ mess of Spa. People come for a family meal, a table of friends or a quiet dinner for two. And they take their time.

The terrace

On fine days the terrace takes over from the dining room. The playground, a secured outdoor space, is open to our guests’ children.

The bar

A friendly bar, where the drinks list holds real ground: aperitifs, Belgian beers including Orval and Duvel, cocktails with and without alcohol, spirits and digestifs, and hot drinks, from a plain espresso to an Irish Coffee.

Online booking takes up to eight people. For a larger table, a call to +32 483 68 03 26 is simpler.

On the menu

What we serve, every day

Brasserie classics and restaurant cooking, prepared here. The menu reads in two parts: the kitchen first, then the drinks. Here are the broad lines.

To begin

Cold: beef carpaccio, and melting burrata with a crisp salad. Hot: the chef’s scampi, scampi in garlic butter, a local cheese croquette and a seasonal vegetable risotto.

The brasserie corner

The classics everyone knows: boulet sauce chasseur, vol-au-vent, gourmet burger, Green Gourmet Burger and double gourmet burger. Reason enough to come back often.

Meat, fish, pasta and salads

Beef pavé, ribeye, braised ham hock with local beer and honey, cordon bleu with Ardennes chicken. From the water, confit trout fillet from Ondenval and salmon in a sesame crust. Linguine and salads round it off.

For the little ones, and to finish

A whole section at child height: boulet chasseur, vol-au-vent, linguine bolognese, children’s burger. Then the desserts, from crème brûlée to lemon meringue tart with toasted almonds.

On the vegetarian side: the vegetarian linguine, and the Green Gourmet Burger, a breaded cauliflower steak.
